iNFHRA’s main objectives are to undertake and promote the learning of social development through studies on the national and regional policies of development, planning process, and on the interaction of social and economic development with various stages of national growth in developing countries. iNFHRA’s long-term goal is to assist in integrating social development needs with those of economic development especially with respect to the needs of the deprived sections of society. iNFHRA works jointly with a wide range of NGO, universities, research institutions, governmental departments and international aid agencies.
iNFHRA’s Social Development team aims to work on a wide range of topics including gender issues, child welfare, forests and biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, poverty alleviation, agricultural and sustainable rural development, tribal welfare, health, governance, caste-based discrimination and education.
iNFHRA’s Social Development Council also aims at conducting training courses on social science research methods and sustainable development.
